Vampire Crawlers Cards: Every Card, Color & Effect Listed

Vampire Crawlers runs on five card colors and one combo system. Get those two things right and everything else in the game clicks.

Is the Forever Heart a revive?

No. In Vampire Crawlers the Forever Heart is a 2-mana card that gives +1 Max Health in the card table below, so it raises your ceiling rather than refilling it. If you are looking for the safety net that saves a run, that is a different card; the Heart is the one you take when a build wants a bigger HP pool to scale Recovery off.

The five colors

Color Type Job
🔴 Red Attack cards The damage dealers
🟣 Purple Mana cards Extra Mana generation
🔵 Blue Defense cards Armor and healing
🟡 Yellow Stat boost cards Buffs: Amount, Area, Might, Growth...
⚪ Grey Wild cards Combo glue: playable at any point

Why colors matter beyond flavor: your Crawlers (characters) have trigger effects tied to specific colors: O'Sole triggers on red cards, Giovanna on purple, and so on. A "red card deck" isn't just about damage; it's about which Crawler engines you're feeding.

The combo system (short version)

Play cards in strictly ascending mana cost and the multiplier, starting at +100%, scales every card effect. Same-cost cards break the chain, gaps kill it, and Wild cards glue it back together. Drag a turn too long and your cards crack, shatter, and spawn a Trickster.

How it all fits together

  • Yellow stat cards are your build's skeleton: Duplicator for Amount decks, Candelabrador for Area, Spellbinder for Crawler engines.
  • Purple Mana cards fund the big red finishers; Empty Tome is a free combo-starter.
  • Wild coin cards are the gold-farming engine: pair with Gallo (+10% coins per Wild card) or Troubler (creates Coins on discard).
  • Cards marked Destroy burn after use: they're power spikes, not engine pieces. Friendship Amulet and Wings are the exceptions: they persist and can be replayed forever.
