Vampire Crawlers Update History: Every Patch Since Launch¶
Sixteen dated entries, six of them actual game updates, from the demo hotfix in February 2026 to Death Parade in October. The rest are announcements, dev updates and one launch-week brag.
This page is the timeline plus the patch notes, because "did they fix the save corruption" is a different question from "what did the last update add", and both get searched.

Version 1.6.1 — Death Parade (12 October 2026)¶
The biggest content drop since launch, and the one that put the game on phones.
| Content | Count |
|---|---|
| New stages | 1 |
| New dungeons | 3 |
| New Crawlers | 2 |
| New weapons | 2 |
| New evolutions | 1 |
| New utility cards | 1 |
| New gems | 4 |
| New Arcanas | 4 |
| New relics | 2 |
Three things in the notes matter more than the list:
- iOS and Android versions shipped the same day. The game stopped being a Steam-and-Xbox title on 12 October 2026.
- The new content is post-game, behind the final boss: "explore the world map after the final boss fight to find new dungeons", naming Moongolow and Moongohigh.
- Save-data upgrades moved everyone. The note says players mid-dungeon were returned to the Village, which is a strange thing to read if you were on floor 12 when the patch landed.
Version 1.5 — the QOL update (23 June 2026)¶
This is the patch that answered the loudest complaints, and the changelog opens with a joke about it:
It took longer than expected because we got stuck for days trying to exit the game
What it actually added:
- A way to quit. Settings (and therefore Quit) is always visible in the bottom-left corner, Backspace leaves shops, and the autosave timing is now stated in the confirm popup.
- Card sorting, by Mana cost or by colour, with up/down jumping between categories.
- Jeweller clarity: the UI shows which chests can contain a gem, and sealing a gem no longer requires dropping its frequency below common.
- A single deck view showing every card and whether it is in the deck, hand or discard.
- Tooltip visibility options, and the controller button that used to toggle tooltips now sorts cards instead.
- Endless Mode, unlocked by a new relic in a teaser area that appears on the map once you finish the game. The Jeweller is disabled there on purpose, so endless runs run on base-game RNG rather than a preset gem setup.
Version 1.4.1 and its hotfix (30 April and 23 June 2026)¶
Eight fixes, published twice — once as Discord patch notes on 30 April, once as a Steam post on 23 June with the same list. The duplicates are worth knowing about if you are trying to work out which version you are on:
- A crash caused by a Gatti Amari scuffle landing as an encounter ends.
- A save-slot error when a brand-new player quits before the tutorial loads.
- Better detection of corrupt saves, and of saves carried back from a later version.
- A frame-rate cap tied to monitor refresh rate, to reduce resource use and crashes.
- A crash caused by the Echo gem.
- Demo saves stuck in the tutorial are now deleted on upgrade.
- Better save integrity for power cuts and force-quits.
- A fix for loading two save slots at once, which was wiping achievement progress.
Demo hotfix 0.0.4 (27 February 2026)¶
The oldest entry, and the smallest:
- Treasure chest audio was too loud.
- The evolution statue's "no gem slots available" message was rewritten to say you need a weapon with an empty slot plus its matching passive.
- Some in-game achievements were not tracking.
- Steam Cloud syncing on Steam Deck was improved but explicitly not fixed.
Where the numbers stop adding up¶
The wiki's version history records what 1.0 shipped with: twenty-two Crawlers, forty attack cards, seven defense cards, nineteen stat boosts, six Mana cards, fourteen Wild cards, ten dungeons, sixteen relics, fifty-eight gems and twelve Arcanas.
Add Death Parade's list to that and two counts reconcile exactly, while two do not:
| Content | At 1.0 | Death Parade adds | Expected now | Actual now |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gems | 58 | 4 | 62 | 62 |
| Arcanas | 12 | 4 | 16 | 16 |
| Crawlers | 22 | 2 | 24 | 25 |
| Relics | 16 | 2 | 18 | 19 |
So one Crawler and one relic arrived without a patch note naming them — most likely inside 1.5 or the June demo update, neither of which lists character or relic content. That is not a guess about which one; it is simply the arithmetic of the two published lists.
The one number that dates the game¶
The 29 April 2026 announcement is titled "1 million Crawlers in 1 week": one million players in the first week, eight days after launch. That is the only player-count figure poncle has published for this game.
